The Trifecta!

Today I wanted to let you meet/hear about 3 of our current indoor members: Chris Carr, Erica McHard and Kim Wilson.  When I see these guys in the gym they are always friendly to folks around them and they work hard and continue to make progress.  If you haven't met these folks go out of your way and say hi!




Chris Carr
  • How long have you been training at Versus?

This month makes my 2 year anniversary at VSC
  • What is your favorite movement, what's your least favorite?

I love the Deadlift and I hate running.  Can Murph be a least favorite movement?
  • What achievement in the gym are you most proud of?

Hitting that 400# deadlift was pretty defining for me. I'm the most proud of how far I've come strength-wise. Believe it or not, I wasn't very strong to begin with coming in the gym. Looking back on it, I'm floored at how far my numbers have risen in the 2 years I've been here.
  • What's your current performance goal?

I think this has constantly changed, and probably will constantly change. I want to be strong as an ox and fast as a gazelle... but then again, who doesn't!? In my opinion, it allows you to go through phases of getting better at one thing or another without sacrificing being good in a general way. Right now I've found myself coming back to the basics: Being good at body weight movements like: pushups, pullups, situps, etc. and being able to have endurance through the long workouts.

  • How long have you been training at Versus S&C?
since the first week of January... i don't count my intermittent weeks or workouts and cheating in November and December :)
  • What is your favorite movement?  Least favorite?
favorite is deadlift and least is RUNNING!

  • What achievement at the gym are you most proud?
I'm most proud of toning up and losing weight all while increasing my PR's (personal records)

  • What is your current performance goal?
Hmmmm, that's a toughy.   There are still many skills that I want to master while still staying polished on the skills I have already earned!  But I guess I would say increase my running endurance and achieve faster times

Favorite is deadlift and least is Turkish Get-ups

  • What achievement at the gym are you most proud?
Unassisted Pull Ups!!

  • What is your current performance goal?
Get stronger!
